This course is taught at an introductory level and examines the concepts behind spatial data and use of GIS software in the Oil and Gas industry.
This course provides students with an excellent overview of general spatial data concepts and software, as well as providing hands-on experience working with the components, functions, and applications of ArcGIS.
Some of the key topics covered include:
- Coordinate systems, map projections and datum’s
- Attribute and Spatial data queries
- Map design and presentation
- Geoprocessing techniques
